Mali: Alliance of Sahel States steps up military operations

In recent days, the joint forces of theSahel States Alliance (SSA ) have carried out several military operations in northern Mali. Using combat drones, the armies of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger have stepped up their offensive against armed terrorist groups operating in the region.

Since their withdrawal from ECOWAS, the threeESA countries have considerably strengthened their military cooperation, notably through the acquisition of Turkish-made Akıncı armed drones. This equipment enables more precise and effective cross-border operations.
