Cabrel Mbouta, one of the first beneficiaries in Yaound\u00e9, shared his experience: “We didn’t believe that in 48 hours we could be issued with a national identity card. We really thank the Cameroonian government.” He nevertheless highlights the difficulties encountered during pre-registration: “It was my uncle who helped me to do the pre-registration online, which wasn’t easy. But once this stage was completed, after paying the required 10,000 FCFA, I received a PDF confirmation and was able to collect my card from the police station within 48 hours.” <\/p>\n\n
The new system requires an online appointment for pre-registration, a measure designed to streamline the process and avoid long queues. This change requires a gradual adaptation to digital tools. <\/p>\n\n
