Ugandan Minister of General Affairs Justine Kasule Lumumba has strongly condemned the “disco matanga”, calling the dances “devilish”. Originating in Kenya, the practice of \u201cdisco matanga\u201d has spread to the border districts of eastern Uganda, particularly in Namayingo. According to local authorities, the region has already recorded two deaths linked to these funeral parties: a young girl gang-raped and a boy killed in an attack. Kenya, facing similar problems, had already banned \u201cdisco matanga\u201d in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
