“Celebrating 50 years in Gabon is a milestone for Nestlé. It symbolises half a century of commitment to providing quality, affordable and accessible products, while contributing to the well-being of our consumers. This anniversary is not only an opportunity to look back on our achievements, but also to sincerely thank our consumers, customers, employees and partners for their support. We also acknowledge the support of the government, which has played a vital role in our success in Gabon. Their loyalty and collaboration have been the driving forces behind our success.”

Ecomnews Afrique: How has Nestlé Gabon evolved over the past 50 years?

“In fifty years, Nestlé Gabon has evolved from a small operation to a major player in the agri-food sector, with 7 flagship brands such as NIDO®, NESCAFÉ®, CERELAC® and MAGGI®. We have been able to adapt to the needs of our consumers, introducing innovative products while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This evolution demonstrates our constant commitment to excellence and our ability to remain relevant in a changing market.”

Key achievements of Nestlé Gabon

Ecomnews Afrique: Can you tell us about the major achievements of Nestlé Gabon over the last 50 years?

“Of course! Among our main achievements, we have introduced products enriched with essential micronutrients to combat nutritional deficiencies, particularly iron. We have also implemented initiatives to make our packaging recyclable and strengthen our sustainable impact. In the long term, we aim to collaborate with local actors for the development of transformation systems. Our community actions, particularly in nutritional education, have reached thousands of people, and we have trained hundreds of health professionals. Our MYOWBU program, which supports young entrepreneurs, also generates indirect jobs. Each of these steps illustrates our desire to have a positive and sustainable impact in Gabon.”

“We have a series of events planned throughout September 2024. These include community outreach, employee recognition events, and special promotions for our consumers.
